MPA Premier Center of Excellence

U11-U19 (Birth years 2002-2010)

Midwest Premier Academy Premier Center of Excellence are designed for boys and girls in the U11-U19 age groups who desire a highly competitive level of play. Our players will comprised of the young men and women from all over the Metropolitan area.  Our nationally licensed and certified professional coaching and training staff is proud of its highly competitive international and professional playing and coaching experience. Midwest Premier Academy provides outstanding player and team development, which results in consistently fielding some of the strongest teams in the state. Our focus on player development is an ideal preparation for High school, College, Olympic Development Program (ODP) and the W.I.N program.

Midwest Premier Academy teams train three times a week, two field sessions and one Strength and Conditioning session. Midwest Premier Academy teams play matches against teams from other clubs around the Nebraska area in the Nebraska League as we are registered with a club affiliated with Nebraska State Soccer; Dreamers FC or the Alliance League where we have been approved as a club through USSSA depending on the level, the Alliance League has also added a Kansas league where Kansas teams will host Nebraska teams one weekend and in return Kansas teams will travel to Nebraska. Our top teams will play in the Midwest Conference Regional schedule against teams from Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. The top teams in the Conference will earn advancement to the US Youth Soccer Regional Championships, part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, as well as a chance to earn a coveted spot in the National Tier of the League Program, the US Youth Soccer National League. We will also been accepted for the the US Club Soccer National Premier League (NPL) in both girls and boys. NPL consists of teams from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri and will be three weekends of play which rotates each year; two home, one away (Missouri) or one home and two away (Kansas and Iowa). The boys is an extended division due to conflicts with Midwest Conference League during High School season and will be a maximum of three out of town trips throughout the year. Additionally, teams may choose to participate in various local or regional, or national level tournaments.

Because Midwest Premier Academy is a club with the USSSA Alliance League, there will also be opportunities for players to compete at the highest levels regionally and nationally with USSSA Alliance Select teams comprised of the strongest players from the Alliance League in the Development Player League. These opportunities, by nature, are highly selective and a great privilege - and something that Midwest Premier Academy is proud to offer its players.

MPA PREMIER CENTER OF EXCELLENCE PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS

Midwest Premier Academy and its players make a mutual one-year commitment, which lasts until the tryout period the following year. While you are playing at Midwest Premier Academy we ask that you give careful consideration to absences so that the effect on other players is minimized. Regular attendance at practice sessions is encouraged.

Midwest Premier Academy expects players who represent the club to maintain high standards of personal behavior both on and off the field. We place great importance on academics and expect players to organize their activities to accommodate both schoolwork and soccer at high levels of achievement. We look to parents to ensure that their Midwest Premier Academy players reach games and practices on time, to attend whenever possible with a positive attitude, and to participate in the running of the Club in some capacity.

MPA PREMIER CENTER OF EXCELLENCE TRYOUTS

Positions on Midwest Premier Academy teams are competitively awarded and skill based. Midwest Premier Academy holds open tryouts where interested players are evaluated by our professional coaching staff. The skills, attitude and potential each player exhibited at these tryouts are considered when team positions are offered. It is our clubs belief to not cut anyone unless they are really off base, as it is our job as professional coaching staff to get the best out of each and every player. However if numbers are not there then we urge players who are not selected to take advantage of Midwest Premier Academy Recreational program, supplemental training opportunities, and soccer camps to advance their skills and prepare for next year’s tryouts.

If you are interested in playing for Midwest Premier Academy and have further questions on the MPA Premier Center of Excellence programs offered, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our friendly office staff.  They will be able to help you find the answers you are looking for!!!
